Since 2016, the Brighton Farmers Market has offered a variety of local foods, farm fresh produce and sustainable meats, as well as children’s activities and live music. We prioritize local vendors and accept all food benefits and subsidies, including SNAP/HIP, WIC, Senior Coupons and City of Boston Coupons. The 2024 season opens June 12. Concerts in the Common
The Brighton Farmers Market hosts a series of Concerts in the Common in partnership with Harvard Ed Portal. You can find a wide variety of local and regional artist playing R&B, Jazz, Pop-Urban, Rock, Indie Folk and more!
Concerts are offered once a month. Concerts are free and open to the public. We encourage you to bring your own lawn chair or blankets and purchase food from our amazing local vendors and enjoy the show! To find more information, please check the schedule.

Food Access at the Market
Brighton Farmers Market supports the accessibility of fresh, healthy and local foods. We accept federally funded food assistance programs such as SNAP/HIP and city, state, and inhouse coupon programs that allow us to increase our food access footprint in the community. To learn about all the various food assistance programs we offer please read below for more information.
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
Formerly known as Food Stamps is the nation’s largest federally funded food assistance program, supporting the expansion of an individual’s food budget for those who qualify. In Massachusetts, SNAP is administered by the Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA).
What Does SNAP have to offer?
- Monthly funds on an EBT card to buy food.
- $40, $60 or $80 (depending on claimed household size) a month put back on your EBT card when you use SNAP to buy locally grown fruits and vegetables via the Healthy Incentives Program (HIP).

Healthy Incentives Program (HIP):
- If you have SNAP, you automatically have HIP benefits!
- HIP puts money back on your EBT card when you use SNAP to buy healthy, local fruits and vegetables from HIP certified farms via a Farmers Market, Farm Stand, Mobile Market or CSA.
- To spend your HIP money, you need to have a balance on your SNAP card.

Farmers Market Nutrition Program
The Farmers Market Nutrition Program is run by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. It offers WIC participants and seniors with low incomes access to coupons that can be used to buy fresh vegetables and fruits at approved farmers markets and farm stands in Massachusetts. This year, each WIC participant will be eligible to apply for a $30 coupon booklet and seniors will be eligible to apply for a $50 booklet.

City of Boston Coupons
The City of Boston Mayor’s Office of Food Justice provides citywide coupons July through October in an effort to increase food access for its residents. The coupons can be used to buy fresh vegetables & fruit, eggs, meat, fish, honey, baked goods, dry goods, and dairy products at any Boston neighborhood farmers market. The coupons CANNOT be redeemed at farmers markets located outside of the City of Boston. Check out the list of Boston area markets where you can redeem coupons. If you are a resident of Boston experiencing food insecurity, contact your neighborhood community health center to inquire about the City of Boston coupons.
Brighton Farmers Market Coupons
We offer Brighton Farmers Market coupons to be used exclusively at our market to purchase local fresh fruits, vegetables, plants/seedlings, meat, fish, dairy products, eggs, baked goods/dessert products, honey/jams/preserves/pickles, prepared food (including ice cream and or frozen/hot food products), dry goods, & essential household products. The coupons can ONLY be redeemed at the Brighton Farmers Market. These coupons support our most vulnerable community members with access to fresh local food all season long.
