Clinical Social Work Supervisor (LICSW)

Brighton Allston Congregational Church, United Church of Christ
Where Jesus the healer meets Jesus the revolutionary, and together we serve to create a more just and peaceful world.

Brighton Allston Congregational Church in Brighton Center is seeking a Social Worker (LICSW) to offer clinical supervision to some of our staff and assist in developing program resources. We offer $20-$25 per hour for 3-5 hours per week.

Founded in 1828, the church today is a small congregation of mainline Protestant worshipers (United Church of Christ) that actively welcomes LGBTQ+ members, with a strong commitment to racial and environmental justice. Through our ministries, we provide food relief to thousands in Allston-Brighton. All of our staff and guests are required to wear masks on the property and follow other COVID safety protocols set by the church.

We seek a Licensed Social Worker to:

Offer weekly supervision to our Community Resource Specialist
Help develop a program for a social work intern
Offer weekly supervision for social work intern(s)
Relationship building with local community resources for referrals
Participate in trauma informed community training
Other support to our Community Resource program as needed

This position is hybrid and the schedule is flexible; some of the work can be done remotely and our preference is that supervision is done in person. Our buildings have two flights of stairs and no elevator.

Beyond these basic requirements, we are looking for a team player with good communication skills, who can get behind our mission of serving all members of our community equitably. All of our staff are expected to greet our guests with warmth and compassion.

Our church, and by extension our food ministry, is committed to the work of justice, equity, and inclusion. We recognize that systemic injustice often plays out in employment practices. We particularly encourage those whose identities have been historically marginalized (Black, Indigenous, POC, woman, queer, trans, disabled, unhoused, etc.) to apply.

To apply, please send a one-page cover letter, resume, and two references to
