Job Description:
Wunderkind Planet Daycare is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our team! As a Lead Teacher at our daycare center, you will play an essential role in creating a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for children to learn and grow. We believe in providing quality early education and care, and we are looking for someone passionate about early childhood development to inspire and lead a classroom of young learners.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and facilitate daily classroom activities for children.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that support educational development.
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages children to explore, learn, and develop social skills.
- Observe and assess children’s progress and behavior, providing individualized support as needed.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress and any concerns.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a supportive team atmosphere.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certified EEC teacher qualifications.
- Experience working in a daycare or preschool setting.
- Strong understanding of child development and early childhood education practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Background check clearance.
