Boston Green Academy is looking for someone willing to speak with our 8th graders on Monday, June 5 about gentrification and neighborhood change in Allston-Brighton? Contact me, Dave Kramer, at dkramer@bostongreenacademy.org if interested and available!
Our English and Humanities / social studies teachers would love for their students to learn firsthand from someone with knowledge of the neighborhood dynamics and the influence of schools (especially K-12, but I don't think it would hurt to talk about Harvard, BC, etc.).
Our 8th graders are taking a deep dive into gentrification and green schools. I've been encouraging them to really dig into "green gentrification," or at least to touch on it as a specific phenomena. And they're using this word wall to explore some pretty big concepts, starting Monday.
More about the project here on this form! (including other topics across all our grade levels 6-12).
Thanks!
